The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced today that Sysco, the global leader in foodservice distribution, will continue its role as the Rodeo’s official food sponsor through the 2028 Rodeo season. Sysco first partnered with the Rodeo in 2012 and has since played an integral part in supporting one of the world’s largest and most food-intensive annual events.

As the global leader in selling, marketing and distributing food and related products to customers who prepare meals away from home, Sysco operates 339 distribution centers, in 10 countries, with 75,000 colleagues serving approximately 730,000 customer locations. The company generated sales of more than $81 billion in fiscal year 2025.

“Our partnership with Sysco ensures the Rodeo’s food operations run smoothly at a scale few events in the world experience,” said Chris Boleman, president and CEO of the Rodeo. “Their commitment to quality, freshness and community impact directly supports the experience we provide to more than 2.7 million annual visitors.”

Sysco’s renewed sponsorship underscores its long-standing dedication to fueling large-scale events, supporting volunteer-driven operations and strengthening food access throughout the Houston region. As one of the Rodeo’s most enduring partners, Sysco’s continued support ensures the organization can deliver a high-quality culinary experience while furthering its mission to support Texas youth and education.

“Sysco’s partnership with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo helps us live our Purpose of Connecting the World to Share Food and Connect with One Another. As millions gather annually over food and fun at the Rodeo, they have also helped fund more than $660 million in scholarships to Texas youth, and Sysco is honored to play a role in this time-honored tradition,” said Ryan Forth, Region President of Sysco South Texas. “As a Houston-based company, we are committed to providing the food products and services that help make the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo a world-famous event,” Forth added.

During the 2025 Rodeo season, Sysco delivered over 1,000,000 lbs. of essential products that powered the event’s culinary footprint. The company’s team also helped drive community impact by donating 7,118 pounds of unused food to the Houston Food Bank.

Each year, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, creates one of the most significant food-service operations hosted by a single event in the United States. The volume of meals, snacks and beverages consumed across NRG Park during the 21-day Rodeo season requires a highly coordinated supply chain, making Sysco’s reliability, product variety and scale essential to supporting hundreds of vendors, hospitality areas and volunteer-run food operations.
