The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is delighted to announce ConocoPhillips as the continued sponsor of the Rodeo Run through 2029. ConocoPhillips, headquartered in Houston, is a top independent company in oil and natural gas exploration and production. The sponsorship began in 1988 and this renewal extends the partnership for five years, beginning in 2025.
“For 36 years, the Rodeo Run has been woven into the tradition of the Rodeo and we are thrilled to continue the partnership with the renowned ConocoPhillips to keep it going,” said Chris Boleman, president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “The excitement that comes with the Rodeo Run helps set the tone for the Rodeo season that follows. Witnessing so many people joining in on the fun and giving back to the Rodeo’s mission makes me proud as leader of the organization and even more proud to be a Houstonian.”
Proceeds from Rodeo Run presented by ConocoPhillips benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. The run precedes the Downtown Rodeo Parade and kicks off with the wheelchair race, followed by the 5K and 10K timed and untimed events. Those that want to participate in the event but can’t make the run may participate in the Sleep-In option and receive an official event t-shirt.
“We are so proud to be part of the legacy that is Rodeo Run. This event stands for more than just miles through the city – It stands for Houston, collaboration, education and all that the Rodeo and ConocoPhillips supports,” said ConocoPhillips Chairman and CEO, Ryan Lance. “The stamp that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo leaves on Texas by giving back is one that we are honored to contribute to. We are excited to extend our partnership for the next five years and can’t wait for another run in March.”
The 2025 Rodeo Run, presented by ConocoPhillips is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025. Early Bird Registration for all races opens November 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. CST and is available until the events are sold out.
