What it takes to compete at the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest
Founded in 2009, Cowboys 4 Heroes feeds wounded veterans. Now Panda and Hollywood face Texas' best in Bar-B-Que.
Watch EpisodeEstablished in 2009, Cowboys 4 Heroes was created to assist physically and mentally wounded military members and their families as they transition from active duty to civilian life. What began as a mission rooted in service has grown into a powerful community that provides support through programs focused on connection, healing and everyday needs. Among those needs, something as simple and essential as a hot meal became a meaningful way to bring people together and offer comfort during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Cowboys 4 Heroes founders Panda and Hollywood turned to Bar-B-Que as both a tool for service and a way to raise awareness for their mission. That passion quickly evolved into a competitive pursuit, placing them head-to-head with some of the best teams in the state at top-tier Bar-B-Que competitions. Each cook became more than a contest. It became a way to tell their story, honor those they serve and prove that purpose fuels performance. Now, as they take on the pressure of the biggest stages and chase World standings, the question remains: how will they fare when the stakes are higher than ever?
