The Calf Scramble Progress Show is a mid-year checkpoint for our 2025 Calf Scramblers. Each scrambler who caught a calf in a 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Calf Scramble was awarded a $2,000 certificate to purchase a registered beef heifer or market steer to show at next year at the Houston Livestock Show. Returning as an exhibitor, the students will show in a special competition with other calf scramble and judging contest winners. This Calf Scramble Progress Show provides educational seminars on raising cattle for scramblers and allows them to gain show experience at no cost to the scrambler. The Calf Scramble Progress Show is open to the public and does not require a ticket.
