“Rather than putting on our own additional qualifiers, we see this as an opportunity to support local rodeos whose missions align with ours,” said Chris Boleman, president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “Pasadena is one of the last rodeos of the regular season, and it will be exciting to see which champions earn their spot into our Show.”
The Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo will take place Sept. 18–26, with a total purse of $58,500. The Champions of Pasadena will earn a direct invitation to compete at RODEOHOUSTON in 2027.
The Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo’s mission is to preserve the traditions of the past, empower the youth of today and build a brighter tomorrow for Pasadena and Texas, a mission that closely aligns with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s commitment to agriculture, education, entertainment and Western heritage.
In addition to Pasadena, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will continue to support Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo and Waller County Fair and Rodeo as qualifying rodeos for RODEOHOUSTON.
