Run for a cause! Proceeds from the event benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. The 2018 Rodeo Run had more than 8,900 participants in the wheelchair race, 10K race and 5K fun run/walk. Since 1988, nearly $5 million has been contributed to the Rodeo.

  • Thursday, Feb. 21 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Race Day Packet Pickup:
(tent will be located off Allen Pkwy. at the Sabine Street Bridge)

Team Packet Pick Up

If you plan to pick up packets for your team, please fill out the form linked below and return it to by 5 p.m. the evening before you plan to pick up packets. Also, please make sure your team knows that you are picking up their packets and that they do not need to make plans to do it themselves.

How to Participate

2019 Schedule

Please arrive no later than ONE (1) hour before the start of your registered event. Event start times are as follows:

9:10 a.m. 10K Wheelchair
9:20 a.m. 10K Timed
9:35 a.m. 5K Timed
9:35 a.m. Untimed 5K (line up behind timed 5K participants)
10 a.m. Downtown Rodeo Parade

Post Race Party

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Eleanor Tinsley Park

Participants and supporters are invited to Eleanor Tinsley Park after the race for a fun celebration of the morning's race and supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The Family Fun Zone will have food, entertainment and more.

Course Map

The race starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park for the post-race party.

On race day, please arrive at least one hour before the start of your event for parking and race staging. Staging for the start line is at the corner of Lamar and Bagby.


Public parking garages in the downtown Houston area and the Theater District are available to Rodeo Run participants and parade viewers. Please prepare for each garage to have its own parking fees.
