Run for a cause! Proceeds from Rodeo Run® benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. The run precedes the Downtown Rodeo Parade and kicks off with the wheelchair race, followed by the 5K and 10K Corral A, 10K timed and 5K timed events.


Please arrive no later than ONE (1) hour before the start of your registered event. Event start times are as follows:

9:10 a.m. 10K Wheelchair
9:20 a.m. 5K & 10K Corral A, 10K Timed
9:35 a.m. 5K Timed
9:35 a.m. Untimed 5K (line up behind timed 5K participants)
10 a.m. Downtown Rodeo Parade

  • Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Sunday , Feb. 19, 2023: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 24, 2023: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Race Day (Allen Parkway at the Sabine Street Bridge): 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. (Limited race day pickup will be available. Please try to pick up packets prior to race day if possible. If you need to pick up race day morning, please plan to arrive early as delays and extended lines may occur.)
Teams of 4 or more participants qualify for group packet pickup. Please fill out this form.

Post Race Party

10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Eleanor Tinsley Park

Participants and supporters are invited to Eleanor Tinsley Park after the race for a fun celebration of the morning's race and supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The Family Fun Zone will have food, entertainment and more.

Want to be a vendor at the Post Race Party?

The exhibit space fee is $2,500. Vendors are not eligible for more than one space. Complete the Vendor Application Form below and submit to Details are following:

OPTION 1: Vendor Fee: $2,500
  • Note, vendors are not eligible for more than one space
OPTION 2: In-Kind Donation
  • Vendors will need to provide enough giveaway items for approximately 10,000 runners and their guests
  • If vendors choose the in-kind option, they will not be provided with day of event items (table/tent/chairs/etc).

Vendor Benefits: As a Rodeo Run vendor you will not only be contributing to the mission of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, but you will also receive the benefit of brand exposure to 10,000 runners and their guests as well as the ability to handout promotional items and sampling rights at Post Race Party. In addition, each vendor will also receive:

  • One vendor space, measuring 10’ wide x 10’ deep
  • Upon Request: one 10’x10’ tent, one 8’ table and up to two chairs, if needed
  • Vendor’s name will be shown on the Post Race Party Map
  • Option to provide coupons or promotional information to Rodeo Run Committee to handout at packet pick-up

Event Day Details:

  • Post Run Party begins at 9 a.m. and remains open until 12 p.m. (noon)
  • Set up times:
    • Friday, Feb. 24 at 9 a.m.
    • Race Day: Saturday, Feb. 25 from 6 –9 a.m.
  • Tear down will start at 12 p.m. (noon), but vendor setups must be completely removed by 1 p.m.
  • Vendor is responsible for providing their own dolly/cart/wagon to transport items from parking
  • Vendor is responsible for providing their own helpers/people to transport items from parking. Rodeo Run Committee volunteers will not be able to assist in vendor setup or tear down

Course Map

The race starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park for the post-race party.

On race day, please arrive at least one hour before the start of your event for parking and race staging. Staging for the start line is at the corner of Lamar and Bagby.


Public parking garages in the downtown Houston area and the Theater District are available to Rodeo Run participants and parade viewers. Please prepare for each garage to have its own parking fees.
