Many rodeo athletes dream of competing at RODEOHOUSTON, but each year, only 360 earn their way into Houston’s 20-day Super Series. The top 80 athletes advance to the Championship for a shot at one of eight $65,000 prize purses.

The RODEOHOUSTON Super Series is a tournament-style competition that crowns champions across eight events: tie-down roping, bareback riding, team roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, breakaway roping, bull riding. With a total payout exceeding $2.5 million, each champion walks away with $65,000 and their accumulated winnings, a custom-made saddle and belt buckle, and an invitation to return to RODEOHOUSTON the following two years.

As an official PRCA NFR money event, earnings at RODEOHOUSTON count toward qualification for the National Finals Rodeo and the PRCA World Standings – raising the stakes for every ride, every run, every second in the arena.

The path to the Championship is relentless. Five three-day Super Series rounds narrow the field, sending top competitors into the Semifinals. From there, athletes must fight through Semifinal rounds or battle for a second chance in the Wild Card to secure one of just 10 spots in each event on Championship night.

On the final night, the top four competitors advance to the Championship Shootout Round, where they ride again to determine who will claim the title.

The road to a RODEOHOUSTON Championship isn’t measured in miles. It’s measured in sacrifice. In grit. In moments that demand everything you have. After 19 days of competition, it all comes down to one final night.
