» Cody Johnson announced as 21st artist for 2026 RODEOHOUSTON
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ is thrilled to announce Jon Pardi and Randy Houser to RODEOHOUSTON as the opening artists for Cody Johnson. Johnson’s concert-only performance is set for Sunday, March 22, which will be the 21st night of the 2026 Rodeo.
About Jon Pardi:
This will mark Pardi’s fourth RODEOHOUSTON performance, following appearances in 2025, 2023 and 2022. The MCA Nashville artist has spent the past decade modernizing honky-tonk with his signature mix of grit and good-time energy. With four Top 5 albums, including the platinum-certified California Sunrise, and six No. 1 hits such as the 6x platinum “Head Over Boots” and “Dirt on My Boots,” Pardi has earned more than 9 billion global streams and international acclaim. His fifth studio album, Honkytonk Hollywood, led by the Top 10 single “Friday Night Heartbreaker,” builds on his tradition of authentic, hard-hitting country while adding a fresh spark to his sound.
About Randy Houser:
This will be Houser’s first performance at RODEOHOUSTON. With a voice The New York Times calls “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Houser has earned over 1 billion streams and multiple No. 1 hits, including “How Country Feels,” “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight,” “Goodnight Kiss” and “We Went.” His latest album, Note To Self (Magnolia Music Group), features 10 tracks co-written by the Mississippi native and marks what MusicRow praised as the return of “one of country music’s finest vocalists.” Houser recently appeared in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Dennis Quaid’s The Hill—the latter becoming Netflix’s No. 1 streamed film in February 2024. His newest single, “Country Back,” continues his full-throttle country momentum.
Additional information:
Doors to NRG Stadium will open at 5 p.m. Randy Houser will open the concert, Jon Pardi will follow, and Cody Johnson will close the evening.
