Rodeo Run

Run for a cause! Proceeds from the event benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Educational Fund. The 2017 Rodeo Run had more than 9,500 participants in the wheelchair race, 10K race and 5K fun run/walk. Since 1988, nearly $5 million has been contributed to the Rodeo.


  • Cost for all Rodeo Run events: $35 (online convenience fees apply)
    • Includes an event t-shirt and post-race party at Eleanor Tinsley Park.
  • NEW for 2018: Each Rodeo Run finisher will receive a special medal for their accomplishment!

How to Participate




Packet Pickup

Participants MUST pick up their packet at the following location during the assigned dates. There is NO race day registration or packet pickup.

  • Saturday, Feb. 17 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 18 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feb. 22 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 23 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Team Packet Pick Up

If you plan to pick up packets for your team, please fill out the form linked below and return it to run@rodeohouston.com by 5 p.m. the evening before you plan to pick up packets. Also, please make sure your team knows that you are picking up their packets and that they do not need to make plans to do it themselves.

Post Race Party

Participants and supporters are invited to Eleanor Tinsley Park after the race for a fun celebration of the morning's race and supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund. The Family Fun Zone will have food, entertainment and more.




Course Map

The race starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park for the post-race party.

On race day, please arrive at least one hour before the start of your event for parking and race staging. Staging for the start line is at the corner of Lamar and Bagby. Reminder, there is NO race day registration or packet pickup.


Parking

Public parking in the Downtown Houston and Theater District areas are available to Rodeo Run participants from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A flat rate of $10 will be the cost for each of these areas, this includes parking fees.
