On Monday night, nine athletes locked in their places in the RODEOHOUSTON® Semifinals, advancing one step closer to the championship round.

Contestants competed across three go-rounds, with the top four athletes in each event earning advancement based on their aggregate scores.

With a spot secured in Semifinal 2, Tuf Cooper is taking a strategic approach heading into the next round.

“I’ll be able to watch the cattle in the first semifinals, figure out my draw, and come up with a specific game plan,” Cooper said. “Just coming in with a great feel and keeping it rolling with my horsepower.”

Super Series IV Champions

  • Tie-Down Roping — Tuf Cooper, Decatur, Texas- $5,250
  • Bareback Riding — Sam Peterson, Helena, Montana- $5,500
  • Team Roping — Jr Dees, Orange, Texas and Landen Glenn, McAlester, Oklahoma- $6,000
  • Saddle Bronc Riding — Damian Brennan, Milsap, Texas- $7,000

And with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, confidence—and maybe a little luck—is on their side.

“Things are rolling for me right now, I’m drawing good, so yeah I feel real lucky,” said Damian Brennan.

Advancing to Semifinals
These champions will be joined by additional competitors who advanced based on their aggregate scores from the three go-rounds.
