On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, Scholarship America presented the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with the Dreams to Success Award in recognition of the Show’s commitment to education and support of Texas youth. Jim Winne, chairman of the board-elect, accepted the award on behalf of the Show, at the National Dreams to Success Awards celebration dinner in Washington, D.C.

 

Winne was accompanied by current Show scholars Sarah Brubaker of The University of Texas at Austin, and Rashard Harris of Texas A&M University, along with notable alumni Ben Dickerson, Fred McClure and Bill Sarpalius.

The Dreams to Success Award honors individuals, companies and organizations who go above and beyond to provide students with a bright educational future.

 

The Show was selected for this prestigious honor along with the

  • Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship & Emergency Grant Program.
