Nine athletes across eight events claimed RODEOHOUSTON Championship titles Saturday night at NRG Stadium, each earning $65,000, along with a championship saddle and belt buckle.
The Championship features 10 athletes in each event. The top four advance to the Championship Shootout, where they compete one final time to determine the winner.
Tie-down roper Riley Webb delivered one of the night’s most memorable performances, setting an arena record with a 6.5-second run to secure his second consecutive RODEOHOUSTON title. “Backing in the box in the final four, the last roper to go, not expecting to break an arena record, much less win — that’s a dream come true,” Webb said. “I’m just in shock right now. To win this one like that is unbelievable.”
Bareback rider Rocker Steiner scored 90.5 points to claim the title. “Life’s great right now getting another win at RODEOHOUSTON,” Steiner said. “I’m healthy, happy, handsome and wealthy, as Stetson Wright would say.”

Williams said she knew she needed to be aggressive with strong competitors to compete. “It wasn’t the prettiest loop, but they don’t say pretty on the paycheck,” said Williams. “I just had to let the cards fall where they fell, thank goodness it was my turn.”
These athletes’ performances capped an exceptional season of competition and showcased the highest level of rodeo excellence. The Rodeo also recognizes all athletes who competed this year, whose dedication and sportsmanship elevated every event.
