RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series

This international, invitation-only rodeo has a purse totaling more than $1.6 million. Some of the world's best cowboys and cowgirls compete in five three-day series, giving RODEOHOUSTON fans an opportunity to track their favorite athletes all the way to the BP Super Series Championship. The action is never-ending, with bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and tie-down roping.
PURSE
- RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series contestants will be competing for a purse of $1.6 million.
- The entire purse is provided by RODEOHOUSTON, with no entry fees required from the contestants.
- Additionally, each contestant has the ability to earn at least $500 in bonus money by appearing at autograph sessions and making public appearances on behalf of RODEOHOUSTON.
- Total cash commitment for RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series contestants exceeds $1.76 million.

FORMAT
2012 Bracket
- The RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series will feature invited championship contestants in bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and women's barrel racing.
- As in previous years, the 19-performance RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series will feature five series of three rounds each, with eight contestants per event; two Semifinal Rounds with 10 contestants per each event; one Wild Card Round with 12 contestants per each event; and a Championship Round featuring 10 contestants per each event.
- This format will result in 40 contestants per event.

- Past RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series champions (2007-2011)
- 2011 Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo champions
- 2012 San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo champions or highest non-qualified participant
- Reigning Canadian Professional Rodeo Association champions
- Top three in the 2012 PRCA World Standings (as of Dec. 1, 2011)
- Remaining invitations will come from the 2011 PRCA World Standings.
- Alternate entries will be accepted after the closing of the invited entries. Entered alternates will be used to fill positions of invited contestants who do not complete the entry process.
Bull Riding
- Past RODEOHOUSTON BP Super Series champions (2007-2011)
- 2011 Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo champions
- 2012 San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo champions or highest non-qualified participant
- Reigning Canadian Professional Rodeo Association champions
- Top three in the 2012 PRCA World Standings (as of Dec. 1, 2011)
- Reigning PBR champion
- Reigning CBR champion
- Remaining invitations will come from the 2011 PRCA World Standings.

Online entries will open Dec. 12, 2011, and will close Dec. 27 (invited and alternates).
Completed and accepted entries will include a Letter of Agreement between each contestant and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. 2012 Super Series Contestant Contract.
