Wild Mustangs Take Over Reliant Park

A stampede of wild mustangs has made their way to Reliant Park for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Painted fiberglass mustangs have been placed throughout the grounds of Reliant Park to raise awareness of the show.

Twenty-eight firms and individuals underwrote a mustang to be decorated by various artists. Each sculpture tells a different story. The wild mustangs tell the Show’s story and celebrate the rich Western heritage of Houston and Texas.

“A Trail Thru Time,” designed by Kathy Hammond and underwritten by the Gatekeepers Committee, won Grand Champion and Best Western Themed Mustang. The Reserve Grand Champion mustang, “Running with the Herd,” was designed by Kermit Eisenhut and underwritten by the Transportation Committee.

With his new album “Bring It On,” Fowler delivers 100 percent Texas country music with style. That’s no surprise to his myriad of fans who know every word of his honky-tonk anthems, such as “Beer, Bait and Ammo,” “The Lord Loves a Drinking Man,” and “Loose, Loud and Crazy.” In his new single, “Long Line of Losers,” Fowler pokes fun at what he calls “that somebody in everyone’s family who annoys them.” He has recorded with some of his musical heroes, including Willie Nelson and George Jones. Fowler can be described as the country rebel with a heart of rock.
