FCCLA Scholarships

Number Awarded: 10 four-year at $15,000 each, statewide

Applications: Obtained from FCCLA advisor, usually in December of the applicant's senior year; applications originate with Texas FCCLA.

Deadline: Varies within FCCLA area.

Eligibility: Current member of FCCLA in good standing; must apply in the fall of senior year; must graduate from a public Texas high school in school year in which applying for Show scholarships; must be in top one-fourth of graduating class; test scores must meet minimum of 1350 SAT or 19 ACT; must be a resident of the state of Texas and a citizen of the United States of America; must have applied to and plan to attend a Texas college or university for which applicant meets entrance requirements; and cannot have applied for a scholarship through Texas 4-H or FFA. Selected applicants also are interviewed in person.

Selection: Scholarship evaluation committee chosen by Texas FCCLA, usually community and industry leaders.

Awards Presented: Late April or early May at State FCCLA Convention
