The world’s largest livestock show hosts more than 31,000 livestock and horse show entries each year along with numerous judging competitions and contests, and five record-setting junior market and school art auctions.
Since 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ has committed more than $430 million to the youth of Texas through scholarships, grant funding, graduate assistantships, calf scramble certificates and more.
Houston is home to one of the world’s richest rodeos. For 20 days, elite athletes from across the world compete in the RodeoHouston® Super Series and Super Shootout: North America’s Champions® for a total purse of $2.17 million.
