The excitement was uncorked as more than 3,500 wine enthusiasts delighted their taste buds at the 2008 Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup and Best Bites Competition on Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at 7 p.m., on the floor of the legendary Reliant Astrodome. This lively event featured the announcement of the 2008 International Wine Competition Champions, as well as a culinary competition of regional restaurants and catering institutions. More than 600 wineries submitted more than 1,900 entires that were judged in Nov. 2007, all vying to win top honors and ride away with trophy saddles, buckles and chaps.
