Western Art Academy

Western Art Academy summer workshop scholarships are selected through an application process. Application forms are given to all 9th, 10th, and 11th - grade students in each participating school district and private school who are Best of Show, Gold Medal or Special Merit winners. Completed applications are submitted to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Committee. Representatives of the Western Art Academy interview each qualifying applicant and review their application and artwork portfolio during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo each year. The number of participants selected each year is determined by the amount of funds available.
