Shriner's Hospital for Children Art Contest

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Shriner's Hospital for Children Art Contest is held at Shriner's Hospital for Children during the month of January. Artwork prepared by the patients and their siblings is judged by the School Art Committee judges, and participants receive either a blue or red ribbon. From the blue ribbon artwork in each of the four judging levels, the Best of Show and Gold Medal artwork is selected. The Best of Show and Gold Medal winners receive Best of Show or Gold Medal ribbons and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tickets. The winning artwork will be displayed in the Hayloft Gallery for the duration of the Show and then returned to the artists.
