Rodeo Run

Run for a cause! Proceeds from the event benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Educational Fund. More than 10,000 people participated in the 2016 run. ConocoPhillips has contributed $4.8 million to the Show since 1988.


Event Details

Wheelchair Race                                                 $30 9:10 a.m.                           
Brakes and helmets required.
No hand crank/cycle wheelchairs.
Performance shirt
Timed 10k Fast Wave $30 9:20 a.m.
In order to qualify for the fast wave, you must confirm that you are able to finish at a pace faster than 7:00 minutes/mile (male participants) or 8:00 minutes/mile (female participants).
Must  provide previous race to qualify.
Participants receive a bib with timing chip.

Packet Pickup

If participants do not select for packets to be mailed during online registration, then they MUST pick up their packet at the following location during the assigned dates. There is NO race day registration or packet pickup.

Post Race Party

Participants and supporters are invited to Eleanor Tinsley Park after the race for a fun celebration of the morning's race and supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund. The Family Fun Zone will have food, entertainment and more.

Course Map

The race starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park for the post-race party. Complete course map coming soon!

Plan to be at the start line area under I-45 at Walker St. by 8:40 a.m. Look for signs that guide you to the line-up area for the event you are doing participating in.


Public parking garages in the downtown Houston area and the Theater District are available to participants. Please prepare for each garage to have its own parking fees. Surface lot parking is also available throughout downtown for a fee.
