What is the difference between a virtual runner and a donor?

The virtual runner option is a fixed cost of $30 and the registrants receive an official race shirt. Donors may make a donation of their choice to help support the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The amount of the contribution that may be deductible for federal tax purposes is the excess value contributed by the donor over the value of goods or services received. Consult with your tax professional for more information.

How do I create a team?

Please email perk-fields@rodeohouston.com to create a team for the Rodeo Run, presented by ConocoPhillips.

How do I change my registration information after I have signed up?

Please contact run@rodeohouston.com with any changes after you have completed registration.

How should I expect to receive my race day packet and shirt?

If participants do not select for packets to be mailed during online registration, then they MUST pick up their packet at the following location during the assigned dates. There is NO race day registration or packet pickup.

Are entries refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable. If you can not make it to the event, we will consider your entry as a donation to support the the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is 501(c)(3) charitable organization. When will prices increase?

 Prices will increase to $35 after Feb. 16, 2017.

Event Day Questions

Will Rodeo Run, presented by ConocoPhillips continue if it is raining on the day of the event?

Yes, the Rodeo Run is a rain or shine event! 

May I walk or run with my dog during the event?

For the safety of all participants, we ask for you to please leave your animals at home for the race.  If participants bring their dogs on race day, they may be asked to not participate.

May I walk or run with my stroller?

For the safety of all participants, we ask for you to please leave strollers at home.  If participants bring their strollers on race day, they may be asked to not participate.

What items are prohibited to bring to the Rodeo Run?

Roller skates, heelys, skateboards, scooters and and any other items with rolling features are prohibited. Participants who bring any of these items on race day, you are subject to being escorted off the course by safety personnel or volunteers.

Headphones are discouraged for the safety of all participants in the race.  

Will there be a bag drop at the event?

For security reasons, there will not be a bag drop for participants on the day of the event.
