The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Shriners Hospital for Children Art Contest is held at Shriners Hospital for Children during the month of January. Artwork prepared by the patients and their siblings is judged by the School Art Committee judges, and participants receive either a blue or red ribbon. From the blue ribbon artwork, the Best of Show and Gold Medal artwork is selected. The winners receive Best of Show or Gold Medal ribbons, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tickets and cash awards. The winning artwork will be displayed in the Hayloft Gallery for the duration of the Show and then returned to the artists.
