Volunteer Support — Show Success

The Show currently has 28,000 volunteers serving on more than 100 different committees. Volunteers work in every facet of the Show, including the livestock show, horse show, commercial exhibits, transportation, auctions, membership sales and ticket sales. Volunteers work more than 1.4 million hours, saving the Show $28 million in payroll costs.

How to Volunteer

Show members who would like to be considered for committee appointment should:

The committee chairman or a representative of the requested committee will contact the applicant if there is an opening. Committee volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo volunteers who are Corral Club members have access to three private Corral Clubs:

  • Reliant Center Committeemen's Room
  • Reliant Stadium Committeemen's Room
  • Reliant Arena Stockman's Club
