Rumbling pit smoke and good music could be smelled and heard from all corners of Reliant Park during the 2013 World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest, Feb. 21 – 23. Top barbecue teams from all over the state and nation joined together for a chance at the coveted title, but only one took home top honors: Across the Track Cook-off Team.
“It’s incredible; I’m still trying to soak it in,” said Kerry Fellows, owner of Across the Track Cook-off Team, which has been a 12-year participant in the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. “This is the only cook off we do as a team — Houston is the biggest cook off around!”
